The Top 7 Reasons You Shouldn’t Drink While Watching Movies

Oh yeah, let’s talk about this.  First of all I love drinking while watching movies.  The difference between me and the people/groups of people I’m going to call out is that I don’t have a problem with most of these because I think I may be an alcoholic. (Joking?) Regardless, I actually have a piece in the works entitled the top 10 movie drinking games in which I have hand-picked several very original movie drinking games and am method writing the article to them. (Not joking)  For instance, how many times does Jack say “Rose” in Titanic, and in turn, how many drinks does this cause me to drink?  Wouldn’t you like to know?  Yeah that’s what I thought.  And the answer is……… well refer to #1 as to why I don’t have an answer as of yet please..  Before you do, please do this list full justice and go in order.

Sometimes, movies and drinking don’t go together well and this causes wild shit to happen.  Unfortunately I’m sure a lot of you will just blow off this article, but when one of these situations plays out just like I wrote it, I’ll laugh when I say I told you so.  If you’re going to drink I suggest white wine or light beer and a movie of less than 2 and a half hours.  Otherwise this is what could happen to you.

Catherine Review (Xbox 360)

Rating: 7/10

In Summary: Catherine offers a creative and fresh take on video game stories, yet the core gameplay often leaves a lot to be desired and it’s difficulty could create a frustrating experience for the inexperienced.

Battleship Trailer

Liam Neeson is going to be in an adapation of the popular board game: Battleship.

The movie looks like it is going to be  action and special effects driven, but it is going to be interesting to see whehter or not a boardgame can be transformed to a movie.

There is a twist to the game, with the addition of aliens.

If the movie does reasonably well, I am sure that we will see many more movies based of video games coming out.

Check out the trailer and let us know if you think this movie is going to be a “hit” or “miss”.

NBA 2k12

Yeah, I know Chris already did NBA 2K12, but give me my turn with it.

NBA 2k11 was the absolute pinnacle of sports gaming that it’s almost difficult to describe. It was an easy game to learn if you were picking up a controller for the first time, but one of the most difficult games to master. I was still learning things about the game in January of 2011, and the game came out in October 2010. It keep the game fresh and interesting.

Rage

Release Date: October 4, 2011

Things to Look Forward To: An FPS, mixed with and RPG, mixed with an Adventure game.  The game is published by Bethesda so it may be comparable to Fallout, however it looks like it going to be much more fast paced.  Through trailers and interviews it doesn’t look like your going to have to manage and handled 6 broken Shotguns, and a massive inventory system that takes you out of the gameplay.  The game looks like you stick with around 4 weapons that can all be upgraded, and customized making the experience more streamlined.  Not to mention you can build some of your own gadgets..  The environment sounds like it has been done before, but it looks more colorful, and more lifelike.  It’s also big enough that you can drive from city to city. The cities seem more alive and the characters are just faces with 2 sentences set to repeat, and through interviews id Software says that NPCs is something they really focussed on in development.

1) Mass Effect 3

Projected Release Date: March 6th, 2012

Things to look forward to:  It is anticipated that there will be more platforming and puzzle gameplay elements in this Mass Effect than in previous installments.  Updated and improved melee techniques also dazzled when on display at E3.  Individualized squad commands and more opportunities for upgrades were also hinted at.  There is a feature, when in tune with Kinect, where you can bark commands and the game picks up what you’re saying using voice recognition.  For example: if you say, “Garrus move forward” Garrus will follow your command on the screen.  Also, during dialogue wheel segments you say what you want to say rather than picking an option with your controller.  Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that this is the culmination of one of the greatest stories ever told in the video game medium.  Time to bring the reapers to justice!
